Biomedical Engineer, Designer and 3D-Printing.

Louis was responsible for designing and 3D printing an updated version of the probe holder for the OCTIVUS sample arm. The probe holder contains the motor and several connecting points for the probe and attaches to the main portion of the OCTIVUS system. The prototyping process consisted of several iterations due to errors in the printing process including deformities and breakage. Louis chose these responsibilities to put his solidworks skills to use and to have a more physical impact on the design of the project. Louis also worked in the lab constructing the probe head used by the system so he could make physical progress on the system and also to better understand the nature of the probe itself.
