Hanze is responsible for contacting manufacturing companies for sheath production with specified requirements. The quality of the manufactured sheath components is crucial for imaging quality and the precise range of the outer and inner tube flexibility is the key to minimize medical risk during the surgical insertion procedure,the success of the surgery and quality of the entire product. After much consideration of budget, special configuration and company experiences, we narrowed down our companies lists and our first choice is Vention Medical. Hanze also made great contribution in OCT/IVUS probe assembly. Meanwhile, Hanze helped to organize mechanical tests in the winter quarter. Hanze and the rest of the team believe material properties and selection are crucial and they could have significant impacts on overall sustainability and safety of the IVUS/OCT dual modality system and patients’ health as well as the practitioner’s diagnostic procedure.
