Yihang Xin is responsible for FDA required tests and the probe production, and he is also the technician of the project. Yihang Xin will be the team leader in the 2017 spring quarter. He is interested in medical imaging and imaging systems. With two years of individual study experiences in the Beckman Laser Institute, he has already gained a deep understanding of the OCT system and the OCT probe, and he wants to apply his knowledge to improve the OCT probe. He is highly proficient in using Solidworks and 3D printers, which allows him to design and customize some parts of the OCT system. He is currently minoring in material science engineering, and he clearly knows how to choose appropriate materials and how to do mechanical tests to avoid failure.
